Lions Digital Solutions (LDS) offers courses for different programs, from selling Amazon products & Airbnb hosting, to launching online marketing agencies. The solutions we provide are designed to integrate long-term development and growth for all of the clients we serve. They value innovation and initiative, and have built a team of over 100 people in the past two years, with plans to grow and expand even further! Much of our team is remote, with employees working from all over the world - Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia, and North and South America.

A Big Goal for the Abundance Team in 2023 is to create organic content. Documentaries with a focus on Business. There's a few channels that have done well including: James Jani, Jake Tran, Iman Ghadzi & Valuetainment.

You'll be tasked with writing out the script of the documentary. You'll be given a lot of autonomy, so the ideal candidate needs to be highly self-motivated, comfortable taking responsibility, and have a great sense for what topics would make compelling narratives and documentary pieces.

This job will mean proactively contacting and speaking to relevant sources for every project which will involve persistence, especially if contacting people in positions of power — you will need to be confident in your abilities to pick up the phone, or email and reach out.

The long-term vision is to create a production house with a strong brand and community that not only releases phenomenal documentaries, but also fictional pieces of work too. We love telling stories and sharing them with the world, and the goal is to build a team of exceptionally talented individuals who also share that vision.

Requirements

• You've got relevant experience as a researcher and/or journalist. Minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, but exceptional candidates with less formal experience will be considered.

• You're able to follow good journalistic ethics and have the patience and grit to follow potential leads and investigations for months.

• You're able to synthethize large quantities of information, draw out key points and construct compelling narratives.

• You're able to work to shared deadlines and have research ready to present when needed.

• You're able to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced and flexible environment with a high degree of autonomy.

• You're able to work effectively in a team environment. Collaboration is a huge part of our process, rather than competition.

• You're able to use your initiative to suggest new directions for the research or new concepts for videos.

• You've seen, read and understand the tone and style of compelling documentaries.

• You're ideally based in Vancouver, however the role is open to applicants from all locations.
