JOINERY WORKSHOP TRAINEE

Save the Sash Ltd are a busy, bespoke timber joinery shop based just outside Maidenhead, looking to invest in a new trainee to join our valued team. This is full time, permanent work helping to manufacture bespoke timber windows and doors. We offer you lots of support to start your journey into a rewarding skills based profession.

Our last trainee is still working with us 3 years later and has been rewarded with training and experience in all the different aspects of our workshop, even including fitting. They are now able to:

  • turn out beautiful joinery on our workshop benches
  • use many machines, saws and the like in our workshop
  • prepare timber for paint spraying
  • fit double glazed units to finished joinery
  • fit furniture successfully
  • assemble complete joinery ready for fitting
  • assist on installations

We’re looking for a hard worker, with a good attitude and a desire to learn a skill. You don’t need to have any experience, but you will need to bring a passion for making and an eye for detail. Otherwise, we will train you from the ground up and help you develop your skills.

Your Essentials:

  • Seeking full time employment for a minimum of 6 months
  • Adaptable, friendly and willing to help out with all roles in the workshop
  • Eager to learn and prepared to work hard
  • Reliable, honest and keen to explore a career in joinery

You should live within a 30 minute radius of our workshop in Littlewick Green and be able to get yourself to work by your own transport. We are located in a rural setting off the A4 with on-site parking, close to good road links, but not public transport links.
