Location: Avalon Mall, St. John’s
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Crombie REIT Operations team in the part time role of Cleaner based out of our Avalon Mall location. The primary responsibilities of this position are: regular custodial duties in addition to the care and maintenance of required equipment. The ideal candidate will have janitorial experience in a commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with interior cleaning of the property including but not limited to:
· Provide excellent customer service with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to team members, tenants and customers
· Remove garbage and waste from tables and receptables in food court and/or all areas of the mall
· Wipe down and clean tables
· Recycling and distributing trays in Food Court
· Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
· Clean and disinfect touchpoints, bathrooms and fixtures
· Empty trash cans and other waste containers
· Plant, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
· Sweep, vacuum, dry mop, wet mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
· Collect and dispose of tenant’s refuse
· Wipe and/or dust architectural features
· Paint or prep areas or maintain seasonal décor
· Understand the importance of safety in the workplace and follow all health and safety procedures
· Other duties and special projects as required
Required Skills & Experiences:
· 1-2 years of cleaning related experience is considered an asset
· Proven time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and backshift.
· Clear criminal record check
· Capability to meet the role’s medium physical demand level - lifting and/or carrying: seldom 26 - 50 pounds; occasional 26 - 50 pounds; frequent 11 - 25 pounds, and constantly 1 – 10 pounds.
