Tollestrup Group Ltd has an IT Support Technician position available in Lethbridge, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate!
As an IT Support Technician you will be involved in implementing various NEW technologies, as well as maintaining current technologies as the company continues to expand.
Tollestrup Group is comprised of:
· Tollestrup Construction Inc. which has been operating within the construction industry since 1940. We mine and manufacture several different types of sand and rock products, providing concrete aggregates, asphalt related products and services such as road building, paving road reclamation, profiling and concrete.
· Tollcorp Restaurants operates 16 Tim Hortons and 5 Wendy's restaurants throughout Alberta from Lethbridge to Fort McMurray.
Responsibilities
· Provide support services for all End Users (Desktop, Laptop, Mobile Devices).
· This role will be responsible for contributing to IT and Business projects as related to services such as Nektar-EquipData, GPS Machine Control, Mobile Device Management Software, Mobile Devices, Hardware and Software, In house Telematics Solutions.
· The role will require interactions with business end users, Construction Managers, Office Administration and Payroll and Project Managers.
· This role works on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and communication to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions in a professional manner.
· Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures.
· Responsible for formal documentation around processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
· Post-Secondary education with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
· Valid Driver’s License and vehicle.
· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Assets:
· Technical knowledge of IT.
· Proficiency with Windows Server 2008+
· Experience working with Ubiquiti Network Hardware
· Experience with Virtualized Infrastructure (VMWare, Hyper-V)
· Experience with VMWare Airwatch Mobile Device Manager
· Understanding of IT services, technology and solutions.
· Experience in a related industry setting (Construction) an asset.
· Experience in a customer service environment as asset.
· Ability to translate technical knowledge into a more easily consumable format (laymen terms).
· Keen interest in existing and emerging hardware and software technologies and IT architectures
· Analytical and troubleshooting skills
· Highly professional demeanor with the ability to speak confidently, courteously and credibly to all levels of management.
