Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to support all Tokyo Smoke Ontario stores, as well as the Central support team with first level support, network monitoring and maintenance, routine maintenance of systems and any other IT related support required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote support, as well as onsite when required, for Tokyo Smoke Ontario retail stores, and head office staff.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair computer hardware and retail IT equipment including POS devices, pin pads, printers, PCs, etc.
- Provide preventative maintenance services to existing equipment to maintain functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair networking equipment (switches, routers, servers, etc.) and structured cabling (UTP, coax, fibre, etc).
- Interact and communicate technical issues and solutions to end-users and customers.
- Provide Service Desk support to users either via phone, email or desk side as required.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Demonstrated knowledge in IT Security
- Troubleshooting and support for internet connectivity issues
- Working with Telco providers to troubleshoot connectivity issues, as required
- Oversee Telco account management
- Manage required annual licenses renewals
- Maintaining and working with wireless technologies, LAN, VPN, DSL
- Troubleshooting Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS & Android mobile operating systems
- Create, edit, and improve technical articles and other systems procedures
- Complete work in accordance with outlined SLAs and project requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing IT Support to retail or commercial clients/customers.
- Post-Secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Exposure to and knowledge of a broad range of IT hardware, networking equipment, firewalls and cabling including POS systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service excellence, with a strong attention to detail and follow up is required
- Ability to establish priorities and manage workload effectively and efficiently
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
- Availability for evening and weekend work, as needed
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making ability.
