The Board of Directors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated support staff member to the role of IT Technician.
Whilst primarily based at Cardinal Wiseman Secondary School, this position will support the IT infrastructure across the Academy with the collaboration of the Academy Head of IT and the post holder may be based at any of the 8 sites within the Multi Academy Company.
Grade: Romero Grade 4
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week, full year position

The successful candidate will:
- Provide an IT support service to staff and students within the Romero Academy ensuring the IT facilities in the schools are functional at all times;
- Provide high quality, 1st and 2nd line technical support for the IT service desk; recording all requests, calls and activities within the service desk tool.
- Undertake day to day maintenance of equipment; printers, end user devices and core systems, minor repairs and replacement of parts as necessary.
- Maintaining inventory of IT equipment, consumables and software, ensuring new stock is security marked and asset register updated as appropriate.
- Support staff in the use of the internet and cloud based learning portals
