Description
Following a restructure of the senior roles within the non-teaching division of the school, we are now looking to appoint an outstanding IT Technician.
The non-teaching division of the school is led by the School Business Manager and the IT Technician will directly report to the Digital Services and Examination Manager.
As well as state-of-the-art teaching facilities, the school has invested heavily in the IT infrastructure and equipment. The school has been awarded an Apple Distinguished School which recognises innovation, leadership and educational excellence with Apple technologies. The IT systems are a Microsoft, Apple and ChromeOS hybrid. Most of the specialist IT rooms are Microsoft PCs and the school’s Admin Team operate in a Windows environment. Teaching staff and pupils use Apple equipment. The teachers also use this equipment to connect to the display screens in each classroom using AppleTV.
A very important part of the school’s IT Strategy is that every pupil is equipped with an iPad. This iPad is used to support the pupils’ learning. Pupils use their iPads in lessons and are able to take their iPads home.
This post involves working in a busy, vibrant and dynamic office which offers high quality and innovative IT support to support teaching and learning, working closely with pupils, teachers and non-teaching staff.
We are looking for someone who is able to work up to 7.5 hours per day, 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time only).
