Purpose and Objectives of the role
- Provide 1st line IT Support and Assistance to all employees across the business.
- Evaluate technical options and make recommendations to the Head of IT.
- To estimate complexity and time to complete tasks and activities.
- To produce, review and maintain formal documentation and procedures.
- To act as an ambassador for the IT Department and Organisation.
- To maintain an organised, clean, safe and productive working environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- ·To learn and develop skills / experience within a busy IT department.
- Using Service Desk solution to triage all Incident and Service requests.
- Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages.
- Be responsible for the day to day managing of the Company Backups following the Company Backup Policy.
- Responsible for stock levels of IT consumables, and re-ordering where required.
- Install, assemble and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripheral such as printers, scanners and related hardware as required for new installation and office reconfiguration.
- Act as a technical resource to assist the business users.
- Record all IT Incidents and Service Requests in Service Desk.
- Creation of Knowledge Base articles to develop organisation learning.
Presentation, Customer Service and Customer Focus:
- Adopt a mature, sincere and professional demeanour at all times
- Provide first rate service in a positive helpful manner
- Ability to work unsupervised and working to own initiative
- Ability to explain technical information to users in a friendly way
Desirable Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of computers and software
Qualifications & Professional Membership:
- Formal English, Maths and IT related qualifications

Other Information:
- This is a full time permanent position based in our Speke offices.
- Working pattern - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm, some flexibility may be required.
