School IT Technician

Up to £30,000 DOE

IntaPeople are working with a managed service provider who are seeking an enthusiastic School IT technician based in Shrewton on a permanent basis.

A typical day is interactive and fast-paced - you will work with the ICT leads in a school; communicate effectively and frequently with the school staff and gain exposure to new technologies schools are implementing and receive training sessions from providers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous school experience looking for a new challenge. As a School IT Technician you will provide 1st and 2nd line on-site technical support to a designated school whilst ensuring the ICT needs of the school are met successfully.

Responsibilities:

• To provide excellent customer service
• Providing 1st and 2nd line on-site technical support.
• Ensuring equipment is installed are ready for use by pupils, staff for example... PC’s, Printers, Laptops.
• Report identified improvements to VNM/SM
• Able to manage priorities and working time effectively.
• Maintaining customer IT records such as password resets, active directory user accounts, stock control.
• Hardware repair and replacement.
• Utilising the helpdesk system provided to manage all tickets and requests efficiently.

Essential skills:

• Microsoft desktop operating systems
• Microsoft Office 365
• Previous experience in a school setting
• Troubleshooting
