We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Technician to join our client a leading provider of reliable IT services and advanced technology solutions.
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, they have been providing friendly, professional and dependable IT support and services to businesses of all sizes across the North East and Nationally for more than 25 years. and have extensive experience of working across a breadth of sectors including bakery, construction, manufacturing, and professional services, to name but a few.

Main duties and key responsibilities
- Service desk Member of the 2nd line service desk team, providing direct support to clients.
- Installation of hardware and software (CPU, GPU, PSU, RAM, HDD/SSD, Office, Adobe, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, VPNs etc.)
- Other maintained hardware (Projectors, Printers, Phones, Laptops etc.)
- Group Policy Management (Configuring and amending GPOs)
- Active Directory (Configuring and administering AD, AD Azure, Distribution groups, security groups, user accounts)
- Configuration of key software and operating systems. The below inclusive but not limited to –Windows Servers 2008 – 2019
- Microsoft Office 2007-2019
- Microsoft 365 & Exchange Administration
- Local Active Directory/ Azure Active Directory
- Network Troubleshooting
- Windows 7/10
- LAN/WAN, TCP/IP
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- Understanding of maintaining and troubleshooting
- Expanding and maintaining the network infrastructure (Patch panel work, Wall ports and switches etc.)
Key skills
- 2/3 years’ experience providing 1st & 2nd line service desk support
- Excellent technical IT aptitude
- Proficiency with various IT software, hardware and cloud solutions
- Customer-focused
- Strong leaderships skills
- Ability to manage conflict
- Good delegation and prioritisation skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to support and motivate other staff members
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year Neg Dependant on Experience.
