Job description
Imperial Personnel have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior IT Technician to join our client in Barlborough, S43 on a full-time permanent basis.
Our client is a multinational organisation that manufacture and supply packaging components to the aerosol and luxury packaging industry.
Hours and Pay:
Monday – Thursday (8:30am – 5pm)
Friday (8:30am – 4pm)
£35,000 doe
Responsibilities:
· To utilise your expertise in SAP or equivalent ERP systems to support and maintain our FMCG sectors critical process and integrations.
· To provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software and networking issues, ensuring seamless operations across the organisation.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions, upgrades and enhancements.
· Assisting in the development and implantation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimise system performance and security.
· To monitor system performance, data integrity and security and proactively identifying and to address any vulnerabilities.
· To conduct regular audits and assessments to drive continuous improvements and recommend changes.
· Oversee the IT operations in the absence of the IT Manager.
· Provide on-call support to address critical issues minimise disruptions during non-business hours.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Senior IT Technician or a similar role.
· Strong background and expertise in working with SAP or equivalent ERP systems, specifically in the FMCG sector.
· Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
· Familiarity with bespoke automation systems and custom integrations in FMCG.
· Solid understanding of IT infrastructure such as servers, networks and security.
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, capable of resolving complex technical issues.
· Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
