Role description
The mission of the IT Technician is to work as part of a small IT team to provide user support, ensure IT infrastructure is properly maintained and projects are implemented successfully.
Your main challenges
· Provide 1st Line IT user support (c100 users with expansion to 140 in 2023)
· Liaise with external support partners and Regional & Group IT to resolve user issues
· Monitor systems and backups to ensure they are working correctly
· Apply updates, patches and fixes to applications and servers
· Prepare and test equipment for distribution to IT users
· AD User administration
· Create and test logins etc for new starters
· Assist in group / local projects
· Order replacement equipment / supplies
· Member of a small UK team (2 FTE) with some collaboration with the regional NCEMEA teams
· Based in Elland with occasional travel to other UK sites as required
· Multiple contacts from IT users per day
· Handling of a helpdesk ticket system
· Occasional working outside of standard hours
· Prospect to work more in a European region environment in the future
· No line management responsibility
