Job description
The Junior Technologist will require a diverse set of technical skills. With a focus on hardware installation, software application and cabling experience. Your role will be vital in IT project rollouts, hardware maintenance, along with application and end user support. Must be able to bring together a multi stakeholder group, drive consensus and create a shared understanding while maintaining alignment with business and IT strategies.
IT Technician Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Working on construction sites and ensuring safety certifications are up to date.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Reading and understanding technical documentation.
Travel between 11 stores in the Ottawa area as needed.
IT Technician Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or technical certification in computer science or related field.
Experience with Apple Mobile Device Management (MDM)
2+ years of experience in access control, CCTV and systems maintenance.
Employee onboarding procedures, including account creation in Active Directory, Office 365.
A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to lift up to 70lbs
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
