The Role

We are seeking a driven IT professional to manage, support, design and deploy IT systems in our managed hosted solutions environment. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivational team player with an ability to work to own initiative and be passionate about technology. The successful candidate will enjoy being an integral player influencing key decisions and seeing first-hand how your contributions lead to our company’s success.

As a key member of the team, you will have extensive experience (3 to 5+ years) in the
‘Essential Skills’ listed in the table below.

Configuration

-Microsoft Windows Server (Advanced)
Veeam Backup & Replication

-Network Infrastructure Config & Management
(Routing and Switching) Linux server command-line administration

-Server and Storage (SAN) Management Scripting and Automation

-Network and System Security Office 365 Management

-Extensive Troubleshooting Techniques Microsoft Azure Management

-Firewall Management Working to ITIL / ISO Change Management

-Experience in Data Centre environments Experience with Secure FTP & File Transfer

-A willingness to learn new systems & Server & Service Monitoring Software software development/scripting/automation skills

Preferable Skills

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and support existing network infrastructure and systems.

2. Design and develop systems to host IT solutions for internal and customer projects from our current and expanding IT infrastructure.

3. Troubleshooting and supporting client requirements, working directly with clients/end users when requested to ensure a project is being built to specification and is on track both for client satisfaction and company budget/time constraints.

4. Work on improvement and maintenance of existing systems, networks, hardware and software to be deployed in a data centre or client-office environment.

5. Take new and improvement projects from specification to completion with assistance where required.

6. Server and system configuration to deploy and test systems on multiple platforms.

7. Produce and maintain documentation of systems and implementations.

8. Work independently on projects and in collaboration with other staff and contractors as required.

Location and Benefits

Location and Hours of work

37.5 hours per week. Normal working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (with 1 hour lunch). Role is office based with option for remote working 2 days per week from home.
