What will I be doing?
Working within our Digital team you will have a varied role helping to support the day-to-day IT operations for the business. With multiple remote sites you help to maintain all the IT systems and devices that allow our teams to operate efficiently. With a hybrid infrastructure you will maintain servers and cloud services with all the associated security and backups, as well as working on projects and initiatives to improve the systems.
A typical day will include:
- Supporting users by fixing common issues via phone, email & tickets
- Installing and configuring software and hardware
- Setting up new accounts, workstations & mobile devices
- Managing backup solutions and ensuring machines are kept updated
- Creating technical documentation, guides, and processes
- Server administration, both physical and virtual
- Printer Support
- Administration of 3CX PBX phone system
- Website administration
- Maintaining site documentation, including hardware and software inventories.
What do I need?
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users and at different levels.
- Good problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
- Understanding of networks – cabling, switches, Wi-Fi etc. Can troubleshoot issues and outages
- A Computer Science or related degree is preferable but related certifications and experience will also be considered
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook to effectively help users
- Ability to work well as part of a small team and independently
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines with minimal supervision
- Demonstratable project coordination and the vision to implement new technology
- Flexibility to ensure everything runs smoothly and on rare occasions the ability to work out of hours or at weekends to ensure the systems integrity.
- Driving licence and the use of a vehicle for business use
It would be advantageous if you have experience of Microsoft environment - AD, File shares, 365 administration, Virtual Machines, Server 2019, Exchange
You will be based from home but there will be the requirement for flexibility and travel to our depots in Canning Town, Croydon, Wembley, and Rochester as and when the business requires.
