About the role:
We have a vacancy for an IT Support Specialist in the IT Department.
Working in the IT team, you will work in the support team alongside our other Windows and desktop support staff members, travelling between TDL’s sites in the UK and responding to the support needs of our internal customers. Based primarily in London, the role will include travel to our UK-wide laboratories.
Primary duties will include providing a troubleshooting and advisory service for all ICT users throughout the company, providing first-line desktop support and working with other members of the team as required responsibility for setting up new ICT equipment and for repairing/arranging for repair of ICT equipment as requested and to Develop and support Windows networking systems including Active Directory and the company-wide e-mail system based on Exchange.
A minimum of 2 years of working experience in some or all of the above would be advantageous. Previous work experience in NHS IT would also be an advantage. Must be able to prioritise jobs and monitor activity. Excellent customer service skills are necessary as this is a customer-facing role.
The successful candidate will communicate in a friendly and helpful manner to all staff, clients and customers, liaising with other departments to ensure the continued smooth running of the IT department.
