Our offices are in Bath (headquarters), London and Manchester, but our IT department also supports remote workers in North America and Australia.
The role:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at our office in Westminster, London. Reporting to the Director of Engineering (Sysadmin & DevOps division), you’ll be responsible for IT support across the company, with a focus on the London office.
Day to day, your responsibilities will be:
- Supporting our IT service desk as the first point of contact for IT and hardware related issues. The IT team is small and you will be fulfilling the role of both first-line and second-line support
- Assisting users both in-person and remotely
- Desktop support (Windows and macOS)
- Mobile support (Android and iOS)
- Onboarding new employees to Netcraft systems, explaining the various systems and how to use them
- User account provisioning and deprovisioning
- Provisioning and maintenance of laptops, phones and other hardware, liaising with manufacturer support where necessary
- Managing software licences
- Identifying potential areas for automation and improvement in our IT systems processes

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven track record of providing IT support (required)
- Experience of troubleshooting and providing support for Windows 10 (required), Windows 11 (preferable), and macOS (preferable)
- Experience of Microsoft Intune for MDM (preferable), Microsoft 365 administration, including Sharepoint (preferable), automation of hardware provisioning (preferable)
- To enjoy helping people with their IT issues and have a positive, patient and solution-focussed approach
- To thrive off independent problem-solving, whilst also being able to identify the correct moment to escalate and ask for help
- To be able to prioritise when faced with competing items of work of varying urgency
- Professional, clear and prompt communication (in person, by email, instant messaging, and on phone/video calls)
- The ability to identify areas for improvement and automation in existing processes, as well as the willingness to implement those improvements
This is a fast-paced role that will require you to be practical and flexible in your approach.
