SDLMinorfern are hiring!
SDLMinorfern is looking for a friendly, well-organised and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to come and join our IT Department at Head Office.
The role involves providing 1st & 2nd line support for the Service Desk. You will be part of the Service Desk Team providing an excellent level of support to our internal customers and their infrastructure. This is a fast-paced and exciting role where every day is different and new challenges are met with determination and creativity, working with a multitude of services and systems.

Each working week consists of 40 hours, made up of 5 x 8.5-hour days Monday to Friday. Between the hours of 7.30 and 6.00pm. This role may also involve Saturday working for the needs of the business. You are entitled to a meal break of 30 minutes.

What will the role be?
To be successful, you must have great time management skills and be adaptable to a fast paced working environment,
- Answering phone calls and logging tickets in our CRM
- To assist with technical projects in conjunction with the wider team.
- Visit Branches / Customers' sites where required to provide on-site technical support.
- Provide remote support to internal customers as required.
- Continue your training and development within the company.
- This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to perform duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Customer Service

Engineering/Software Support
- Proficiency of Networking and Routing
- Experience with supporting Microsoft Office and Office 365
- Knowledge of data cabling Ethernet/Fibre
- Experience of on-site or cloud-based telephony systems.
- Experience of Audio Visual, & CCTV.
- Experience with the administration of wireless systems
- Understanding of ERP Systems.
- Ability to work with Active Directory and other Server Applications
- Excellent working knowledge of supporting Windows.
- Cyber security management
- Asset management and renewal procedures
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management – Phones / Tablets
- Experience of printer management and maintenance
- Knowledge of cloud security
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
