We have an amazing opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join the team at our flagship dealership in Stockport.
You will be responsible for providing on site and remote IT support for users and working as part of the group IT team across dealerships primarily in our Manchester area. This includes desktop and mobile device configuration and deployment, deskside assistance with the ability to communicate effectively with both users and the rest of the IT team and managing the purchases of new hardware and services.

You will
Provide assistance and support to approximately 640 customers for hardware and software needs and related IT security issues
Communicate effectively with suppliers and users (from all levels) in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible
Provide remote & on-site support for group level IT projects such as upgrades and improvements
Carry out regular daily, weekly, monthly tasks to ensure the smooth running of the IT systems
Be responsible for raising purchase orders for new hardware & services
Respond to calls & incidents in a timely fashion & be able to prioritise as necessary
Propose proactive actions to reduce calls going forward
Support & train end users in a patient and considerate manner
You will have
At least 2 years’ experience of working in the IT support field (as part of an IT team) and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and in purchase ordering new hardware and services
Experience with using a helpdesk and have excellent hardware and software skills to reduce escalations of issues
Worked well with 3rd party service providers and be able to develop excellent working relationships
Excellent communication skills both with the users and the other areas of the group IT team combined with good documentation skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Committed to providing an excellent level of service for users
The ability to both follow and create processes to ensure a consistent level of service
Thorough and analytical with a creative approach to problem solving
A full UK full driving license in order to visit dealerships and other sites as necessary
