IT Support Technician
- Duties and responsibilities:
- - Own, diagnose and resolve support issues.
- - Provide an excellent level of customer service and communication to colleagues working in the office and remotely.
- - Maintain multiple data centres, servers, firewalls, switches and power supply equipment.
- - Build, deploy and maintain PCs.
- - Set up new laptops and train users on remote access.
- - Deploy application upgrades and rollouts.
- - Carry out periodic audits.
- - Maintain cyber security standards
- - Maintain endpoint protection.
- - Monitor system and network performance
- - Maintain system and hardware auditing
- - Assist in business-related projects.
- - Maintain supplier contracts and relationships
- Required skills and experience:
- - Outstanding communication skills suitable for an enterprise environment.
- - Previous experience leading an IT environment.
- - Logical and proactive approach.
- - Exposure and knowledge of different Microsoft products.
- - Windows 10.
- - Office 365.
- - Windows server 2012, 2016, 2019.
- - Cloud server vendors.
- - Cloud and physical backup systems.
- - Proficiency in the understanding of cyber security in an enterprise environment.
- - Strong understanding of network protocols.
- - Ability to demonstrate implementation of wifi networks.
- - Proficient in active directory.
- - Hardware installation and maintenance.
- - Demonstratable skills and knowledge of UPS and 3-phase power supplies.
The successful candidate would ideally have a background in the financial sector, 1-5 years of experience and needs to understand there will be requirements to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with the business needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
