IT Support and Network Engineer – London NW5

IT Managed Services, Firewall , Networking, Microsoft 365, Windows Server

Up to £40,000 DOE Plus Contributory Pension, 30 Days’ Holiday

Established in 2002, our client is the one stop shop for voice and data managed services for small to medium sized businesses. They are committed to understanding clients’ requirements, so that they can ensure that their technology infrastructure supports them appropriately. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a personable IT support professional from a managed service background looking to further their career with a successful and innovative company.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving issues and problems with clients’ IT infrastructure. You will also be the ‘go to’ person to provide advice on IT projects and solutions.

In addition to proactively improving client infrastructure, you will be tasked with contributing to your customer’s IT strategic decision making - giving insight and proposing solutions to IT issues. You will also be required to record and document system settings and resolutions within the company’s client management system.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- previous experience in an IT managed services role with an outsourced IT provider

- experience of WatchGuard Firewalls, or similar

- experience with network switches from vendors such as HP, Netgear & Unifi

- experience with Unifi/Omada network controllers

- a proven track record of networking (site to site connectivity)

- general experience in Microsoft Server and Microsoft 365 product stacks

Additionally, as an IT Support Engineer, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A proactive approach is also key. You will be expected to visit client sites to complete support and project tasks, and own transport would beneficial.

Although not essential, experience of using Autotask would be an advantage to your application. An MCP, MCITP, A+, WatchGuard, CCNA or similar qualification would be beneficial..

Essential experience:

· previous experience in an IT managed services/IT Support engineer role

· experience of MS 365 and MS Windows Server

· experience of WatchGuard Firewalls, or similar

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
