Job description
The Department of Education is looking to appoint an IT Support Officer to join its IT team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The post holder will be assisting the IT Services Manager in improving and delivering an effective IT service to the department. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a first line IT Support role as you will be the initial point of contact for IT support requests from staff, students and visitors of the department. You will help to resolve a wide variety of IT related problems and provide audio visual support for teaching and meetings and provide staff with training in the use of such technology.
You will have the ability to work independently with a willingness to resolve situations with a helpful manner and a willingness and ability to find solutions. Knowing when you need to escalate up to the IT Services Manager for help and assistance is key as you will both be working together to provide an efficient and effective service.
The post holder will be based at the Department of Education, 15 Norham Gardens, Oxford, OX2 6PY.
