The post holder will be the Deputy to the Radiology I.T. and Data Manager and as such be able to cover that post in the absence of the I.T. and Data Manager. The post holder will be required to liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff within the trust. It is also essential that the post holder is able to represent the Trust effectively in dealings with PACS, and radiology equipment manufacturers, other trusts, NHS departments, and Radiology Outsourcing Suppliers. This involves contact directly and through KFM Service Agreements with staff at many levels both technical and managerial.
The I.T. and Data Deputy Manager will be required to contribute to a variety of clinical and I.T. teams.
The post holder will be an integral member of the KFM Radiology I.T. Management Team, and will maintain and implement Radiology information and image capture systems in the department and throughout the Trust and wider Health Community. They will be responsible for monitoring the systems and ensuring that the system is available to users in conjunction with the service providers, and that there is efficient usage of the systems.
The post holder will be part of the ongoing PACS implementations/upgrades, with responsibility for ongoing support in accordance with documented procedures, provision and co-ordination of training, and the planning of any related future developments.
The post holder is expected to attend all King’s College NHS Foundation Trust sites dependent on BAU requirements.
