The candidate for this position will work in a GMP regulated pharmaceutical industry providing infrastructure technical expertise and support to the office related activities as well as the connected equipment in the manufacturing and lab area. The ideal candidate will be technical, creative and result oriented with abilities to work within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with new IT projects by investigating options and making recommendation as to what systems, hardware, and software changes are appropriate for the site including and not limited to computers, servers, technology, printers, and area/department specific software.
• Ensure all changes and improvements are performed efficiently, within budget and with minimal disruption to the operations.
• Collaborate with the regional and global team on any initiatives and project roll outs.
• Provide expertise to the site when implementing new technologies related to the manufacturing operation and laboratory.
• Will assist with defining and maintaining all required standard operating procedures, policies, and supporting technical documentations.
• Troubleshoots any IT technical issues and resolves in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Document the changes and new installations by following standard operation procedures.
• Installs, patches, and upgrades hardware and software in accordance with the company’s life cycle management policy.
• Provide end user support to internal clients
• Trains and enhances user knowledge regarding computer software and hardware
• Implement new lab software with the business to meet data integrity requirements.

Skills:

• At least 5 years hands on Infrastructure experience within an Information Technology department.
• Good knowledge of VMWare, Nutanix, Cohesity, Windows servers (2008-2022), Windows desktop (7, 10, 11), Active Directory, LAN, VLAN and WLAN.
• The candidate must of have great communication and problem-solving skills
• Communicates effectively and appropriately. Speaks and writes in a clear and credible manner. Uses good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Actively listens to others. Ability to present and explain information that non-IT personnel will understand.
• Ability to quickly identify hardware, software, and network issues. Good to evaluate best options and implement rapid and effective solutions.
• Considers the relative costs and benefits of new equipment or software. Uses creativity, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Positive, result oriented attitude.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of programming languages is considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written French and English skills.
• Previous experience in a GMP regulated industry is considered a great asset.
