The Role:*
The IT Project manager is responsible for owning the IT Operations project portfolio. You will be working closely with team managers, project stakeholders, and executive management to manage the project lifecycle including creating and maintaining roadmaps and project plans, ensuring project delivery against milestones, reporting on progress, escalating issues, and owning the overall project management process. This function is fast paced, highly innovative with a strong growth mindset. Day to day, you will align IT/system projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, achieve milestones, and communicate the result across our stakeholder audience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the IT Operations project portfolio
- Create, update and maintain IT Operations project roadmaps
- Monitor and report on multiple workstreams across cross functional teams
- Work with managers to create details project plans and milestones
- Facilitate resolution of issues and blockers, and escalate when appropriate
- Deliver on multiple projects at once, and manage resources accordingly
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status, issues and progress
- Report on key IT Operations metrics
- Ensures that assigned operations and activities comply with organization goals and objectives
- Coordinate cross functional resource requirements, risks and changes by optimizing scope, schedule and resources accordingly
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and reporting to support the IT Project Management functions
- Assist with vendor management, procurement and contract lifecycle
- Work cross functionally with other engineering teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Project Management experience in IT Operations or IT Infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership
- Self starter with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines
- Experience with project management tools like SmartSheets or Monday.com
- PMP, CSM or Prince 2 or equivalent certification preferred
