It's an exciting time to join the IT Change and Delivery team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our Change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for a talented individual to join the growing team.
Working in the Central Change and Delivery Team, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and contributing to the delivery of all IT components of IT projects & Programmes in order to meet business objectives. You will identify solutions to maximise reuse, value and effectiveness of applications within the context of the AXA Group and ensure that DSDM Atern best practices are being used and demonstrated across projects.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:
Responsibility for UK-IT project or workstreams within a programme, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, to scope.
Apply and champion the appropriate project management discipline, i.e., planning, resourcing, scheduling, monitoring, reporting and risk, issue and dependency management.
Responsible for the development and management of budget and expenditure within projects.
Manage and contribute to the selection of supplier delivery relations for technical partners, software vendors
Responsible for project team shaping, building, management, development and motivation, including recruitment.
Responsible for ensuring all testing is carried out and reviewed and approved between appropriate parties, including the business users.
Ensure the delivered technical solution meets the requirements of the quality framework standards and strategy.
Responsible for reporting and presenting on project status to the project team, Steering Committee, stakeholders and senior management

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience with proven track record of delivery in large projects / Programmes
- Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g. DSDM Atern, Certified project Manager, APMP, Prince2 practitioner, ISEB)
- Expert in Project management Disciplines
- Experience of budget management
- Proven decision making ability
- Ability to manage and develop people effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of influencing senior management population
- Awareness of market trends in Insurance & the IT industry
- Expert understanding of end to end IT solutions and the IT delivery lifecycle
- Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
