An opportunity has arisen to join the join the Frontier Technology Team, based at home but an expectation of travel. We are looking for An IT Operations Manager to join us on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be concerned with managing and acting on information relating to IT production operations, including catalogue services, risk management, routine governance and MI reporting to the IT senior leadership team.

Ideal candidate
- You have worked within a matrix-managed organisation and have solid experience in collaboration across digital teams.
- You have worked in a transformational environment or in a growing/evolving business with a focus on technical support and/or IT service management.
- You can design, build and maintain an information repository ensuring data accuracy for all active and newly transitioning IT systems.
- You can effectively identify, capture and report IT Risks and ensure priorities and potential ramifications are understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You have experience with investment planning and budget reporting.
- You have experience in chairing operationally focused meetings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and senior managers.
- You have experience in producing reports and articulating key issues with senior managers.
- You are comfortable coaching others on operational requirements and know when to escalate issues and when to let things run.
- You have a good working knowledge of IT service processes and collaboration tools
- You can drive the collection of information and creation of recommendations for operational improvements.
The role – Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the IT Operations Catalogue.
- Operate the IT Risk Management Process
- Shape, manage and own the service transition process
- Facilitate governance and reporting on the IT Operations Budget
- Chair routine operational governance meetings
- Produce and distribute routine MI reports on operational status, risk, issues and trends
- Work collaboratively across digital and business stakeholders
- Maintain operational alignment between business continuity and IT Operations
- Facilitate routine asset discovery - in alignment with IT technical teams
- Work with technical owners and solution architects to influence technical roadmaps
- Facilitate routine licence audits, contract reviews and failed change reviews as necessary
- Support the Incident and Problem management processes as necessary
