IT Infrastructure Manager

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000/Annum (depending on experience)

Location: Fareham / Whiteley (the role will include travel in the UK and Worldwide)

Hours: 39 hours/week

Roles and Responsibilities of the role of IT Infrastructure Manager:

To manage and be accountable for NAAFI’s internal network for global operations, to ensure that service is maintained to agreed Service Levels. To implement/ upgrade systems that will aid future development of the appropriate systems and tools to drive business efficiency. To support all users throughout the domain. Show technical leadership; resolve problems, document and maintain procedures. Develop and execute IT strategic initiatives. To take on the role of security officer with responsibility to monitor, manage, mitigate risk and report on IT security. Deputise for IT management as and when required.

· Responding to internal systems, software and hardware queries via the IT helpdesk.

· 2nd / 3rd line Technical support and service management of the IP Structure, WAN/LAN (hardware and software), Desktops, Servers, printers. Intranet, Internet, Proxy Server, Firewalls, Security. Citrix and all voice systems.

· Providing and managing Wi-Fi on a B2B and B2C basis.

· Installing IT infrastructure to facilitate our operations throughout our global overseas locations.

· Responsible for managing user access to systems and liaison with external system suppliers.

· Building new equipment to specification for all global overseas locations.

· Maintaining equipment and infrastructure, including handheld units, and payment systems.

· Advising and assisting in the future development of the appropriate systems and tools to drive business efficiency.

· Responsible for advising on IT security. Security officer reporting on: IT policy, security profiles, network back-up and recovery, intrusion detection, auditing, security awareness training, system security tools, logging and monitoring, systems access control.

· Monitor & maintain performance of NAAFI’s network, including hardware, software and services, ensuring that we maintain a secure, effective, efficient network infrastructure. Risk assessment & plans to mitigate risk, Troubleshoot issues, escalating as required. Assessing tools to improve network performance. Manage LAN/WAN security including VPN access.

· Assist the IT Team and the wider business as and when required.

Requirements of the Role of IT Infrastructure Manager:

· Demonstratable experience of 1st and 2ndline roles.

· Ability to travel globally overseas

· Experience of desktop and server support.

· Technical knowledge of Microsoft Applications and operating systems.

· Server hardware design, installation and management.

· Experience of backup and recovery procedures.
