Job description
The Information Technology Manager oversees all IT operations and services. This includes managing cloud and on-premises computing systems, network infrastructure, IT Helpdesk & staff, vendor relationship, IT operating budget, and all organizational change that requires IT participation. The position requires a hands-on technical leader who is also a knowledge expert. An individual in this role is expected to get into the weeds with complex technical issues while thinking about the big picture. Additionally, the individual must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
The ideal IT Manager for HCSS is a strong leader, focused on delivering quality service and experience to the HCSS community by operating as a business partner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise IT team members
- Proactively resolve system and infrastructure problems to reduce downtime
- Administer, secure, and provide support for all enterprise applications and infrastructure..
- Make data-driven decisions regarding IT spending
- Ensure team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot and deliver solutions to end users
- Gather and report operational metrics, accomplishments, and priorities for weekly leadership meetings
- Define team goals and lead staff to achieving desired results, and while being accountable for team performance
- Deliver services and projects on time and within budget through proactive team management and leadership
- Drive innovation and change within IT and the business through cutting edge technology solutions
- Drive cost savings initiatives, business continuity, and risk avoidance related to policies, standard practices, enterprise licensing, multi-department requirements, security and data recovery.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in IT management in an organization with 350 or more employees
- Strong understanding and practice of ITIL standards
- Strong project management skills and experience leading formal change control processes
- Possess an operational mindset. Be capable of creating efficient workflows, execute and deliver timely, accurate projects and services
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with both verbal and written communication
- Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to speak publicly and deliver convincing presentations
- Strong knowledge of Identity Management, Storage, Virtual Networks, Certificate Management, and Code Deployment in Azure and AWS Cloud
- Knowledge of enterprise applications including configuring, customizing, and administration (MS office, Google Workspace, ERP systems, CRM systems, SQL)
