Commencing salary £38,033 per annum plus £1,188 lunch allowance

As IT Helpdesk Analyst, your core purpose will be to provide frontline technical support and assistance to all NEU system users, troubleshooting support issues to resolution, or escalate as appropriate. As part of this role, you will also need to configure user devices and also create and manage user accounts to access the NEU IT systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have well-developed experience in a similar environment, with good working knowledge of the main IT systems and packages in use, in order to support users. For example, Microsoft 365, (Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, MS Project, Visio), Active Directory, Azure, Softphones, VPN, Antivirus Software, Database systems. As a customer-facing role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, including active listening skills, and ability to relate to a range of people in a range of situations. You will also need to be able to work pro-actively and independently while contributing as an effective team member, and liaise with external suppliers as necessary.
Prospective applicants are also advised that your normal place of work will be the NEU office specified in this advert and that the NEU operates ‘Blended Working Arrangements’ for office-based staff, which means you will typically need to be based in the designated NEU office for 3 to 4 days a week (based on a full-time contract), with the remaining days based at home, and subject to business needs.
In addition to salary, we offer good conditions including a non-superannuable luncheon allowance currently set at £1,188 pa, 33 days annual leave plus 4 Christmas closure days and a defined benefit pension scheme. Salary and benefits are pro-rata for part-time applicants.
