IT Field Engineer – West Midlands - £26,000 – £31,000 + Overtime, Bonuses and Benefits
Join our clients dynamic and successful team as a Field Service Engineer! We're seeking a talented individual to provide remote, telephone, and onsite support to our client’s diverse customer base. As part of our client’s technical team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and thrive in a hybrid role that allows you to work both from home and our clients cutting-edge Technical Workshop.
As a key member of our client’s team of IT engineers, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional IT support to their customers. They pride themselves on being the go-to IT department for numerous clients, and they also provide valuable support to other IT teams as an escalation point. As a Field Service Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional and courteous IT support to our clients valued customers.
- Maintaining detailed and thorough documentation of all your work.
- Adhering to helpdesk procedures and policies when working in-house.
- Escalating issues that require senior support.
- Meeting company targets and fulfilling contractual obligations.
- To excel in this role, you should have a genuine passion for IT and problem-solving. An analytical and methodical approach will be crucial to your success.
- Working with equipment and systems such as: Computer hardware, Printer hardware, Microsoft desktop and server platforms, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Networking issues, Internet Routers, Firewalls, Backup Exec
While prior experience in a similar role is desirable, it's not a requirement. If you possess any IT qualifications such as MCP/CompTIA A+, that would be an added bonus!
