2nd/3rd Line IT Engineer
Location:
WN6, Appley Bridge, Lancashire
Salary/Rate:
£35,000/annum
2nd/3rd line IT engineer, Salary - £35k, Permanent, Appley Bridge
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve remote/on site problems with computer & network devices, CCTV systems & intruder systems
- Provide a high standard of 2nd/3ndline support by owning, managing and resolving 3rd line incidents in line with our SLA’s
- Troubleshooting complex server/desktop issues
- Administration of MS 365
- Administration of MS technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office applications
- Support for virtualization products including VMWare & Hyper-V
- Troubleshooting network issues
- Liaising with external parties where necessary
- Good communication with clients
- To learn & be knowledgeable in all our supported product range
- To perform various administrative duties
Experience Required
- Client focused
- Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 onwards, and MS Office
- Experience with switches, routers & firewalls (VLAN, NAT, VPN, Proxies)
- Good understanding of MS 365
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- Good knowledge of CCTV, Intruder & Cloud PBX systems would be advantageous but full training will be given
- Excellent customer service skills
- Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies
- Working in a support role in a busy environment
- Experience of working in a 2nd/3rdline help desk role, MSP experience preferable
- Full clean driving licence
- Must be local to Wigan and have easy access to office location WN6 9DL
