HOURS:
36 hours per week
- Incident management, including major incidents, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Change & Problem management (Business as usual).
- Project management and support.
- Asset and Configuration management.
- Maintaining and managing supported hardware and systems in accordance with council policies and procedures.
- Contributing articles to the Service Desk and self-service portal Knowledge Base.
- Coordinating and undertaking data management activities.
- Engaging with customers, 3rd parties and any other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with stakeholders with diverse objectives.
- Supporting new ways of working with colleagues across the organization.
- Communicating IT information and advice effectively to the target audience.
- Providing accurate, current and relevant information to management.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and associated training plans for ICT.
- Staying current with a broad understanding of ICT technology and new developments that may benefit the business.
- Evaluating new ICT technology and providing written reports as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with PKC’s Information Security Policy and identifying and reporting any security incidents.
- Properly documenting work on systems, hardware, projects, and helpdesk calls.
- Creating and monitoring work schedules and setting completion targets for tasks.
- Supporting and deputising for senior staff where required.

- Demonstrate your experience of working collaboratively in a team and building relationships with others.
- Work effectively under pressure, multitask, and take personal responsibility for managing your own workload.
- A clear understanding of the fundamentals of Microsoft Azure
- Deal with similar inquiries and requests by providing technical/specialist advice and information, which may require investigation, research, and explanation.
- Communicate clearly with users who have varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of PowerShell.
- Have a technical understanding of:
- Plan, organise, and prioritise work in a demanding and ever-changing environment.
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise, reports and presentations.
- Understand and communicate complex processes and issues effectively, professionally, and accessibly.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues / external partners and participate in multi-disciplinary groups.
- Work well under pressure in a dynamic environment and produce accurate work to a high standard.
