INNOVIM is seeking IT Engineer I & II to support our NCEI Data Stewardship contract. Your career at INNOVIM helps NCEI to serve as the central archive for NOAA’s multi-billion-dollar investment in satellite and in situ observations, and model forecasts and projections. Supported by its Cooperative Institutes and Contractors, NCEI stewards the extensive physical and digital data holdings of NOAA and its partners.
Job Description:
IT ENGINEER I Assists with the design, development, implementation, and analysis of IT products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and guidance.
IT ENGINEER II Assists with the design, development, implementation, and analysis of IT products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision.
Educational Requirements: BS/BA
Experience Requirements:
- IT Engineer I: 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- IT Engineer II: 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experienced with working in a SAFe methodology.
NCEI is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. This position may be worked remotely.
