Job description
We are seeking a passionate and driven ServiceNow Developer to join our ambitious team. In this role you will work alongside a Senior Developer to design, develop and implement ServiceNow solutions that simplify and automate the day-to-day and elevate our product maturity whilst delivering exceptional business value.
You will be responsible for ensuring we utilise OOTB solutions, adhere to best practices whilst ensuring the platform retains strong maintainability, manageability and upgradability qualities. You will collaborate, advise and share your experiences on the platform both internally within the team working with multiple stakeholders.
Main Duties & Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and business stakeholders to understand the challenges and opportunities and gather the business requirements
- Assist in designing, developing, testing, and implementing lean and innovative ServiceNow solutions
- Applications development on the platform in accordance with best practice and agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Document technical designs, configurations and processes to support ongoing development initiatives
- Lead solution playback sessions to stakeholders, educate the internal team on new solutions prior to their implementation, and ensure a suitable handover is carried out including the creation of supporting knowledge articles
- Day to day support of complex (Incidents/Request Fulfilment/Enhancements)
- Stay current with ServiceNow best practices, releases and new features, and industry trends recommending innovative solutions to enhance business processes
- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise Server and Client side scripts, business rules, UI Actions and other scripts within the solution.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing complex functionality and system integrations and supporting defect management across platform upgrades
- Contribute to the ServiceNow architecture and roadmap
Role Requirements:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) with minimum 3 year’s experience supporting and developing ITSM and ITOM
- You will be working towards or have achieved ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Solid knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4
- Good understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, ITSM & ITOM modules and functionalities
- You will have previous experience developing a ServiceNow Service Portal
- Proficient in at least 3 of the following Javascript, Angular, REST, SOAP, JSON or XML
- Previous experience integrating ServiceNow with other solutions such as Jira, Active Directory, SNOW etc. utilising ServiceNow Spokes and vendor plugins
- Strong CMDB and Discovery experience would be highly advantageous
- You will be a real team player who is self-motivated, organised to work independently on multiple streams of project work and BAU support whilst promoting a collaborative and sharing environment.
