We’re looking for an epos (electronic point of sale) developer to join us and help to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core epos functions. In this role, you’ll support and develop our epos systems, optimising performance, resolving problems, and following up on all issues and solutions. • manage application development in support of business operations
  • provide technical updates to the development manager
  • liaise with network administrators, trainers, and testers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing
  • make sure the appropriate functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices are adhered to

  • experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery and/or WPF-based solutions
  • good communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • the ability to manage your workload effectively; prioritising and executing tasks to specific deadlines
  • the ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Why Co-op?

Here you will do work that matters. We are a commercial organisation with a purpose beyond profit, and you’ll have an opportunity to help us build a stronger Co-op and stronger communities. You’ll also get a package that includes…

  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 in line with service) plus bank holidays
  • YuLife - an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for many of the UK’s biggest brands
  • discounts on Co-op products and services
