IT Platform Administrator - Job Description
On behalf of Nationwide Building Society, AMS are seeking for an Administrator to join our IT Transformation Community Team for a 6 month Temporary contract with the likelihood of possibility of extension. This role is a deployment on a windows 11 project arranging collection of devises for employees working with an engineer on the technical issues should there be any. Then you will be dealing with mail and calls regarding an issues or problems feeding this back for resolution.
We're offering an hourly rate of £14.00 to £23.00 with a working schedule between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. This role is a full-time contract with a total of 35 hours per week.
Target Start Date: Immediate Start
About the role:
This role sits within the IT Transformation Team, which is responsible for a variety of administration tasks including working alongside a current project of implementing and contributing to process improvement of current IT Infrastructure. In addition to learning about Nationwide’s Shared Technology Platforms and approach, there is an opportunity in this role to gain a wider understanding of all activity completed by the team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders where we provide excellent communication skills in handling enquiries and requests. We work in a team of analysts and engineers therefore you will complete a variety of administration tasks which may include however not limited to:
- Communicating with internal and external Stakeholders including stakeholder management
- Deploying devises for collection
- Mailbox management and calls
- Working collaboratively within the team
- Resolving issues and queries and technical troubleshooting
- Data entry and Data accuracy
- Eager to learn and self-motivated
- Having a pro-active approach and the ability to use your own initiative
- You will be mostly communicating with offshore suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good level of technical understanding
- Handling requests
- A variety of administration tasks
- Innovative thinking for process improvement
- Being on hand with what is going on
- Managing tasks across projects

About you
If you’ve got an administration and possible help desk background, if you’re a confident communicator and looking to take on a new challenge, this could be just the job for you. You’ll also be comfortable using a computer or laptop and hold previous experience with use of Outlook, Excel, MS Office and Microsoft Teams.
