Job description
This role is a key IT role that is embedded within the business, understands both the strategic objectives and current challenges, and works within the organizational structure of IT to ensure these needs are satisfied. Both a relationship builder and a problem solver, the ITBP seeks to develop an environment of mutual trust and respect, while reinforcing the notion of IT as a strategic partner to the organization.
This role has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic and tactical interface for the purpose of aligning technology with business requirements including; strategy development, solution discovery and delivery, service management & risk management coordination, process engineering, training, and communication. This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of the technology portfolio and serves as the business relationship link between functional teams and IT. This role provides highly valued consulting, support, and guidance for key IT initiatives by programmatically managing the application portfolio to business expectations. They communicate changes, decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of the organization regarding business requests, upgrades, projects, and initiatives. They proactively share knowledge of technology and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. They partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, revenue growth, service productivity, compliance, etc.).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership
- Work closely with the CIO and lines of business and functions to align IT strategy and delivery to business strategy and operational needs
- Synthesize business strategy, technology translation, demand pipeline, focused on near and longer term IT priorities for the business
- Manage capital forecast; build consensus across business stakeholders to enable effective investment pipeline management.
- Support customer with business cost estimates and business case development; maximize ROI
- Conduct monthly or quarterly delivery reviews with executive leadership (program and operational tailored by LOB)
- Develop, maintain and continually enhance a communications and messaging strategy - and approval process - across Executives & Key stakeholders.
- Partner with IT leaders in an endeavor to establish consistent use of internal informational tools across teams.
- Manage customer expectations and perceptions in order to optimize customer satisfaction. Act as a key escalation point for customers regarding IT issues that have a high operational impact.
- Hold regular IT strategy, execution & service review meetings with customers (by line of business or function) to review overall IT alignment to business needs. Collaborate with other IT Business Partners to develop key messages and drive consistency in methods of reporting out to the business..
- Program Delivery
- Direct cross-functional teams to generate & execute technology roadmaps.
- Align teams and resources to successfully deliver strategic programs. Delivering upon key programs such as M&A, “Best of Breed”, and “Employer of Choice”.
- Partner with IT PMO & Enterprise PMO for effective program management, including the alignment of areas of responsibility and continually improving overall program delivery.
- Strategic Partner & Operational Excellence
- Maintain IT Scorecard for presentation to Executive Leadership. Measure IT effectiveness as a valued business partner. Convey strategies, initiatives and key projects to targeted to increase value.
- Partner with Global Service Delivery reporting team to develop and/or recommend new or improved reporting tools, as appropriate.
- Deliver relevant insights and metrics to NA IT Leadership Team related to both department and company goals and initiatives, as applicable. When appropriate, share onward with NA leaders in each line of business.
- Liaising with and coordinating regional, global & external teams to create and execute product / program implementation plans.
- Executing comprehensive financial analyses, particularly Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, to calculate and communicate the total cost of business systems and IT services.
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
- IT strategy development through executive engagement. Customer focused, with consultancy and business analyst skills.
- Has worked in two or more of the following IT functions: Applications, Infrastructure, Operation, Service Delivery.
- Building & fostering relationships across department lines, and encouraging opportunities for collaboration to reach a goal.

- Customer Service techniques ensuring that full account is taken of customers’ needs (real and stated) in the delivery of IT services

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
- 4 Year degree in Information Technology, Business or related field required; masters degree is a plus.
