Background and Role
IMCD UK is based in Sutton, Surrey, and employees around 220 people. The role of Service Desk Analyst will provide onsite and remote support and maintenance of all systems, devices and applications used internally by the company employees.
This role reports to the IT & Digital Transformation Manager, and works closely with the Systems Analysist and the Junior IT Assistant to support employees at all levels and throughout their employment life cycle to work efficiently, compliantly, and securely. IMCD UK LTD operates a hybrid working model with employees working from offices in Sutton, Milton Keynes and Leeds, as well as from home, using Office 365, Intune, Azure AD (Active Directory) and a range of Cloud Services & applications.
Your responsibilities at IMCD:
- Providing support to staff using Topdesk ticketing system, applications including Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint) as well as Salesforce, JD Edwards.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Installing and configuring iPhone’s, operating systems, and applications, using Intune & Apple Business Manager.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications and project roll outs.
- Maintain other company hardware, such as all in one printers, Logitech Video conference & CCTV.
- Administration and support of Windows operating systems.
- Provide End User training where required.
- Ensure Assets are disposed of in accordance with the WEEE directive.
- Working with suppliers on purchasing hardware & software.
- Working with 3rd party support companies.
- Working closely with Group IT on projects.
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong, demonstrable IT skills, particularly Office 365 including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Intune.
- Good working knowledge of iPhones and Apple Business Manager.
- An aptitude for learning new systems.
- A keen eye for detail and confidence dealing with data.
- Clear communication both in person and across email/Teams/phone.
- A logical and considered approach, acting with integrity and responsibility.
- The ability to take instruction and fulfil the tasks independently or collaboratively as required.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise conflicting demands.
- Great team ethic and a motivated, positive attitude.
- 1 year + experience working within IT Support within a professional, corporate environment.
- Salesforce CRM knowledge.
- ERP knowledge.
