We are looking to recruit an Asset Management/Technical Analyst which is a hybrid role spanning two important onsite functions.
Firstly, working as part of our Asset Management team you will be jointly responsible for the procurement, deployment, swap, return and disposal of IT assets (Windows PCs, Macbooks, iPhones and peripherals) across our UK estate.
Secondly, this role will involve working as part of the Tech Bar team to provide first and second line hardware and software support to end users, building, configuring and administrating Windows PCs, Macs and iPhones.
A key component of this role requires taking ownership of incidents and service requests, following them through to completion whilst ensuring the customer is kept updated throughout the process. An organised, methodical approach is essential, and you will need to be able to work effectively as part of two different but closely connected teams.
Although the role is largely admin based, there is an element of light physical work involving the lifting and movement of IT equipment.

Essential Skills \ Experience
- Previous experience with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM system to manage incidents, requests and react to service dashboard data.
- Previous experience managing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of a CMDB through continual updates and audits.
- Previous experience in IT procurement, requesting quotes, raising purchase orders and receiving stock when delivered to site.
- Previous experience of triaging returned IT equipment to assess what assets will be retained and which will be recycled/disposed.
- Previous experience managing external suppliers to ensure they are delivering to the required service levels.
- Ability to generate reports in Excel and analyse asset data using various functions like conditional formatting, sorting, filtering and lookups.
- Working knowledge and understanding of core business software such as, WIN10, MacOS, MS Office/O365, Teams, Skype and Zoom.
- Working knowledge and understanding of up to 3 generations of HP laptops, MacBooks and iOS devices.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate both professionally and effectively via email, IM and voice.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a small team of skill technical operatives managing shared work queues and bookable scheduling systems.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and other teams to deliver a great service to our customers, solve problems and drive results.
- Highly organised and capable of prioritising work based on tight deadlines.
- Capable of managing escalations effectively through to closure.
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements using automation wherever possible.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge and experience of Active Directory, Citrix, In-Tune, JAMF and Networks.
- Project Management certifications.
- ITIL Foundation or higher.
- ServiceNow Practitioner certification.
- Experience working in professional service or consulting companies.
- Experience of using automation within hardware asset management.
