We are a small very friendly practice with a new vision for innovative development and growth to become a holistic Health and Wellbeing Centre. We are exploring new models of working and have a diverse clinical team of 1 salaried GP, 2 ANP Prescribers, a practice nurse, Pharmacy Technician, and 2 HCAs. We also have AARS Physiotherapist, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Care Coordinator, Psychotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner and 2 Social Prescribers. We are a teaching practice for GPs and allied professionals and are developing a strong Multi-Disciplinary Team via the PCN.
The surgery offers an incredible atmosphere to work in, with an open-door policy and regular meetings with the multi-disciplinary team and the practice team. Everyone has an opportunity to voice opinions as to how the practice could be improved and the aim is to move to a shared ownership model for all staff.
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and the role may require other level 1 or similar tasks to be carried out in support of the business. Training will be provided where required.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Provide IT support and liaise with external stakeholders
- Email management
- Account management
- Support web applications, Microsoft Office 365, Windows
- Operating System and Clinical Applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for first line support
- Provide remote / onsite support
- Write incident / problem reports
- Help maintain the asset register.
- Assist with the preparation of conference / meeting rooms and their related IT and Audio Visual equipment so that they are ready for large or small meetings, training sessions or other events.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
IT Solutions Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
The Level 3 IT Solutions Technician programme is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to develop, implement and maintain complete IT solutions, including their hardware infrastructure. IT Solutions Technicians apply a professional methodology or framework to gather and analyse the requirements in order to design, develop, test and implement the most appropriate IT solutions.
This programme offers two pathways that provide the underpinning knowledge and skills in either a Hardware Solutions role or a Software Solutions role.
The structured part of your apprenticeship training will be provided by JBC Skills Training, we are a specialist technical IT training provider.
You will also learn on-the-job, working alongside experienced colleagues.
