ISQM1 Senior Risk Associate (L2)
The opportunity
This is a rare, exciting and varied role within the System of Quality Management (SQM) Team which sits within the firm’s Risk Management function. Ideal for individuals looking to further progress their career or take the first step into a Big 4 firm. As you will be working across the various service lines you will learn a remarkable amount about the firm allowing the successful candidate to access long term career progression.
Your key responsibilities
This role has a primary focus on the firm’s ISQM1 risk assessment process (RAP) which is a critical part of the ISQM1 work. The RAP includes: evaluating the established quality objectives; identifying, and assessing quality risks; and implementing responses. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing the RAP and will also be involved in the monitoring and remediation process.

To qualify for the role you must have
We are looking for an individual to work in the team to support on, and lead components of, the RAP who have:
- Experience of working within a Risk Management role (either in a risk function or as a risk management consultant) and undertaking risk assessments and delivering conclusions
- Ability to assess information provided from various sources to assess quality risk(s) and generate insights
- Ability to understand interrelationships between quality objectives and risks across different components and articulate interdependencies and the impact of these
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to communicate observations both verbally and through interesting and insightful presentations.
- Be part of the team overseeing the firm’s ongoing monitoring of responses and, where required, supporting the designing and implementing of responses that are effective in addressing the quality risks identified.
- Excellent communication skills and strong ability to present results/output using core Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Some experience of controls testing with the ability to discuss identified gaps, improvements and conclude on a way forward is preferred but not essential
- Experience in PowerBI or other visualisation tools
- Prior experience and understanding of ISQM 1requirements or working in an ISQM1 role is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
