Relevant Experience Requirement : Essential for Shortlisting:
Must have at least 1 years’ experience working or in a voluntary capacity teaching core Islamic Studies.
Relevant Professional Qualifications Requirement: Will be used for shortlisting
Must have completed 4 years Aalimiyya/Aalim and should be fluent in delivery of Arabic Studies.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required by the needs of the service.
Must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 in relation to Disability Provisions.
Special Conditions:
No contra-indications in personal background or criminal record indicating unsuitability to work with children/young people/vulnerable clients Enhanced DBS check required.
- Key Purpose of the Post:
To play a key role in the development and delivery of The Rahmān Academy courses, in particular, by ensuring that a high quality of teaching is provided for people who have enrolled with the Academy
- To support the Head Teacher and The Rahmān Academy staff in ensuring that a cohesive, flexible and responsive service is able to deliver efficient and effective outcomes to meet the individual needs of all users of the Academy.
- To deputise for the Head Teacher and demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning, supporting others to deliver outstanding teaching and learning for all users of the Academy.
- Work with the Head Teacher and The Rahmān Academy staff to support the planning, delivery, development, organisation and evaluation of the resourced provision, ensuring pupils individual needs are met.
Main Responsibilities of Post:
- To follow any procedures or agreed ways of working highlighted by Head Teacher or the Management Team of The Rahmān Academy.
- To identify and actively develop service improvements linked to the team plan and academyimprovement plan and to carry out evaluation of developments in partnership with the Head Teacher and the Management Team at The Rahmān Academy.
- To develop curricula for delivery and monitor individual schemes of work in conjunction with the leadership team.
- To deliver curricula around Aalimmiya classes/Aalim classes/childrens madrassah or any other short courses
- To have an overview of, and contribute to, the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training related to teaching staff across the Rahmān Academy.
- To monitor and evaluate pupil attainment and progress, ensuring appropriate target setting.
- To attend any meetings arranged by the Head Teacher or the Management Team at The Rahmān Academy.
- To ensure the establishment of common standards of practice across the team and develop the effectiveness of teaching and learning styles.
- To plan and implement strategies to develop and improve teaching and learning where needs are identified.
- To provide induction, support and mentoring for new staff.
- To act as a role model of good practice for teachers and support staff, modelling effective strategies to support the achievement of pupils.
- To carry out performance management for an agreed number of teachers and support staff.
- Any other duties as directed by the Head Teacher or the Management Team at The RahmānAcademy.

Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
