We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated registered nurses or midwife to undertake the MSc Advancing Practice Course school nursing route.
Throughout the duration of the course you will be embedded within the existing School Nursing Team in Aberdeen City. You will work alongside experienced school nurses and the wider team to support you to develop and consolidate your academic learning into practice. Robert Gordon University offer a 2-year part time course commencing September 2023. A first degree is desirable however evidence of studying at SCQF Level 10 or 11 is essential within the last 5 years.
During the course you are required to complete 2 fulltime 10-week placements and a further three weeks alternative practice. It is essential that you are available to undertake these full-time placements to accrue the required clinical hours as stipulated by the NMC. Therefore, all annual leave must be taken out with these practice placement times.
Prior to interview which will take place June 2023, you will be required to submit a 500 word report if you are shortlisted. Further details will be confirmed following closing date and successful short listing and interview appointment.
The potential start date as a Trainee School Nurse, Band 5, non-term time hours, will be from late July/Aug 2023. On completion recruitment to permanent Band 6 position within Aberdeen City.
