The candidate can primarily expect to assist the origination and execution of new investment opportunities, assist with managing existing portfolio companies, monetisation of portfolio investments, and raising additional funds.

It employs an established, disciplined process to invest in and manage a diverse portfolio of infrastructure assets predominantly in OECD countries. Its focus sectors include Energy Transition Infrastructure, Utilities, Transportation and Digital Infrastructure. The MSIP team possesses considerable infrastructure investing and asset management experience. It is one of the largest in the industry and has offices across the globe.
- Preparing investment appraisal presentations.
- Assisting in conducting asset due diligence process.
- Executing background analyses for investment theses.
- Primary responsibility for financial modelling and valuation
- Assisting in identifying, hiring and managing external advisors.
- Assisting other team members to measure and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, as well as help to implement operational changes and monetisation.
- Assisting to prepare materials for meetings with potential investors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be proactive, with ability to take on a high degree of responsibility and to execute critical workstreams with limited supervision.
- Motivation to work in a buy side team with particular focus on value creation through operational improvements.
- Ability to think critically and in a considered manner to assess investment opportunities.
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong team ethic that will enable the candidate to build and maintain a broad network within the global MSIP team as well as with advisors and partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- European language is a strong preference.
- Strong financial modelling skills.
- Degree educated (or equivalent).
- Allround M&A experience (origination, execution, due diligence, financing) is a bonus.
- Sector experience (Energy & Utilities, Transportation, Telecom) is beneficial.
