Job description
The J.P. Morgan EMEA Real Estate team is responsible for origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients in the broad Real Estate sector. The team has a network of relationships with some of the most prominent Real Estate companies in the EMEA region.
As an Associate you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the \"full cycle\" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers. You will also have plenty of opportunities to partner with other bankers from the group as well as colleagues from other industry and product teams across EMEA and globally.
Job responsibilities
- Project co-ordination, including client communication, co-ordination of advisory team externally and within the bank
- Conduct daily deal execution and project management and take leadership in supporting client coverage
- Support investor dialogue in relevant transactions
- Conduct detailed valuation analysis and other financial analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis and transaction structuring analysis
- Prepare presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Interact with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
- Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to Analysts and Junior Associates
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in an Investment Bank either in M&A, an industry group, capital markets or leveraged finance
- Financial Performance / Technical Skills
- Outstanding financial analysis
- High level of attention to detail and time management
- Solid communication and team player
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- In-depth understanding of investment banking products (can be enhanced and further built via training)
- Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers (can be enhanced through training)
- European language skills
