Heimstaden is a leading European residential real estate manager and investor with around 160,000 homes across 10 countries with a property value of SEK 342 billion. We acquire, develop, and manage properties with an evergreen perspective. As an Investment Analyst for the U.K. BtR-market, you will be instrumental in identifying and conducting strategic residential real estate acquisitions to expand Heimstaden’s footprint in the U.K., creating a portfolio of 20,000 rental homes over the next 5 years.

The role’s core responsibilities and tasks:

  • Financial modelling of potential acquisitions and creating bespoke models from scratch if and when required.
  • Conducting research and collecting data for underwriting purposes – i.e comparable rents, vacant possession values etc.
  • Independently maintain a pipeline of potential transactions (both on- and off-market) in Power BI and ensure up-to-date data is available to the team.
  • Monitor market activity, and regularly update investment team on market changes and activity.
  • Support with deal execution, including managing external due diligence partners (technical, legal, tax) and preparing investment applications for the company Board.
  • Creation of detailed business plans for future operational execution
  • Build extensive knowledge of real estate market dynamics, macro-economic fundamentals, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape to optimise sourcing and negotiation processes.

Candidate competence profile:

  • 1 -2 years experience in real estate investment management, private equity, or investment banking firm in an investment, valuation, or asset management capacity.
  • You have completed, at least, a B.Sc. degree in a business field, including, but not limited to, Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Engineering.
  • Strong financial modelling / MS Excel-skills, with experience in valuation techniques. Ability to troubleshoot, audit and optimize excel models independently.
  • Solid understanding of valuation principles and basic understanding of corporate finance and financial concepts.

Salary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
