Criminal Defence Solicitor

I am currently working with a leading law firm in Preston who are recruiting for a criminal defence solicitor to specialise within motor offences.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced dynamic firm with an attractive salary.
You will have the Responsibility of handling your own technically complex caseload defending motoring offences arising from the use of drink and drugs; reviewing evidence and appropriately advising the client; advising clients on all aspects including guilty and not guilty pleas, technical and procedural issues, evidence, costs and potential penalties; Taking detailed witness and mitigation statements from the client and any relevant witnesses; instructing the right experts to assist your client’s case; instructing and liaising with Counsel, both at preliminary hearings and on the day of trial /sentencing hearing and taking and converting new enquiry calls and being able to properly advise on sentence, strategy and prices.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor (All PQE to be considered) or a chartered legal executive; they will hold strong knowledge of the criminal justice system and will also have experience in motoring law, primarily in defending offences involving drink and drugs.
