PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK / MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE / HYBRID / £25K PLUS BENEFITS
WEX Europe Services Ltd are the owner of the Esso fuel care portfolio, and with offices across Europe and the US are one of Europe’s largest providers of fuel cards. We are undergoing significant growth and are looking for talented individuals to join us.
This is an exciting new role within our Finance team and we are in a significant period of change, including new customer-billing platforms.
This role is to join a small but busy team who are instrumental within our business.
The successful candidate will be working on a hybrid basis and supporting all 11 entities across 9 European Countries.

Knowledge & Skills required
- Ideally candidate will have previous experience of working in a high-volume Purchase Ledger or AP department.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work from complex spreadsheets
- Self-motivated
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Willingness to continue to learn new skills and systems
- Ability to work under pressure and process high volume invoices in a timely manner.
- Great communication skills – able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Would be of an advantage but not essential to possess an European language.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reconciliation and processing of trade invoices for 11 entities across 9 European countries
- Assisting with the inputting of invoices – on internal systems and Coupa
- Dealing with all variances and queries that arise
- Processing weekly and emergency payment runs
- Dealing with direct supplier queries
- Handling issues and queries from other European offices
- Processing employee expenses claims
- Assisting with the month end process as required

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Manchester, M2 3HR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- working in a high-volume Purchase Ledger or AP department: 1 year (preferred)
- complex spreadsheets: 1 year (preferred)
- processing high volume invoices in a timely manner: 1 year (preferred)
