Purchase Ledger Clerk
Permanent
Based in Redhill (hybrid and 9am – 5pm hours)
£25,000 - £30,000 plus study support and bonus

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing and established business in the Redhill area on a permanent basis.
You will be part of an independent company that is always striving to achieve more. The finance team is made up of 4 people and you will report directly into the Finance Manager.
Your duties will include:
- Setting up and posting purchase invoices and processing payments to banking and accounting systems
- Posting daily cash transactions and reconciling bank accounts, cash books
- Monthly reconciliation of the purchase ledger accounts
- Assisting in Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
- Assisting with mandates and other banking queries
- Daily banking of cheques and updating cheque register
- Accruing and prepaying overhead costs for the month and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting various monthly journals and reconciling against independent schedules
- Being responsible for the process of monthly expenses and company credit cards including setting up payments
- Reviewing and posting relevant journals for Intercompany transactions
- Ad-hoc tasks depending on month end requirements and business needs
Key requirements:
- Experience within a similar role is desirable however they will also consider someone with no experience that has the right attitude
- Strong excel/IT skills
- Maintain high level of accuracy
- Attention to detail
